Excellent protection, poor fingerprint reading

I liked that it is easy to use and protects the phone well, but I don't know if it's material or thickness, but I have 4 different fingerprints on my phone saved and it can only "read" one of the fingers about 10% of the time. incredibly frustrating for applications. I left it enabled because I can use the touchscreen with minimal issues and I want the screen to be protected.
