i have not put this on my truck yet but did check how bright it is. you can easily do that with a car battery. everything comes with this light bar to hook it up. the wiring is bigger guage wire. Bigger gauge wires are safer and of course has a fuse to make even more safer as it runs right off the battery to the switch. It does come with universal mountng brackets but i had previoysly got some really powerful magnets to attatch to my brackets so no drilling is needed. This light bar is probably more than my truck needs but its great can never have to much light. i havent put it on my truck yet cuz im having some other work done to it but when i do ill update my review. This light bar is made with very good quality everything its not a cheaply made item like i have seen before. I am quite happy with it. ill update soon.
