Review on Stens 055-481 Solid State Module for Kohler 52 584 02-S Engine by Christopher Theriault

Bought this in the fall for my Gravely which stops intermittently. Before I got this I found that the mainspring on the adjuster was broken, I replaced it and it seemed to work fine so I set it aside as a spare (which voided the return). This spring it started misbehaving again (stalled as the engine warmed up). Assuming the coil had broken due to heat, I installed a new one. Starts great and ran great. After mowing twice, there will be no spark, and the high to low side resistance tests showed an open (open circuit). OEM spool order. Done with that Taiwanese junk.
