Installed only a week but no problems. Plugs/ports feel firm and sturdy.** NOTE **While I have no complaints about the product's performance, I would like to make one consideration: *I* couldn't predict the dimensions from ALL directions. Here's my story. I have a super slim HP Specter convertible laptop (screen folds down to use as a tablet). I use a USB hub to connect my peripherals including a second monitor. I wanted to put my laptop under my new monitor stand and with a little more clearance I needed 90 degree adapters. When the adapter is plugged in, it LIFTS my laptop up slightly. In order not to damage the USB connector, I put an empty pad under the laptop. Just remember that as a buyer, you need to see the room from ALL perspectives. I didn't even think that the "width" of the adapter could be too big for the "thinness" of my laptop. :/
