Overall a good machine for the price, easy to use and very high digital resolution. Unfortunately, my scanner had a problem with the backlight, which appeared greenish on the left and reddish on the right. In this regard, it was impossible to find the right color balance for the entire image. Claiming that it can digitize 8mm film looks like a joke - there's no optical zoom to accommodate the smaller 8mm frame size, so scan resolution remains the same as for 35mm film and the image size compared to 4.8 x 3.5 mm is 36 x 24 mm.
