Review on ๐Ÿพ Spiked Pet Collar: Ultimate Style and Protection for Cats and Dogs - Adjustable Leather Collar with Spikes for Chihuahua, Yorkie, Pug, Bulldog and More by Jeff Chisholm

High quality collar at reasonable price

I bought this collar for my 3 month old American Pit Bull puppy knowing he would outgrow him and I didn't want to spend a fortune on a nice leather studded collar for him. All requirements were thus fully met. Although it was MUCH big for him even on the very last hole, with a small modification I was able to make it fit him without too much fuss and still leave the collar length intact to allow for future growth. The collar itself is quite thick. , it is genuine leather and feels comfortable. The lugs/spikes are also good quality stainless steel, they don't rust when wet like some of the cheaper versions. They can also be removed if you find you need to trim the collar even more than the standard openings allow. The rivets screw into the pins that sit between the two layers of leather on this collar, so some work is required to remove the extra rivets. A pair of pliers will help unscrew the rivets and pry the post out of the leather. This collar has held up well to BIG play between the pup and our other pit bull, repeated exposure to rain and leashes/leashes put on and removed daily. I would recommend this collar without hesitation. The only thing I really wish was that there was a slightly smaller version of this collar so I didn't have to go through the hassle of fitting it to my lovely young pup, but it was worth it in the end. If you find this review helpful please mark it as such as I aspire to be a Revain Vine reviewer. Thank you! :-)

Pros
  • These spikes are polished and not too sharp, don't worry about damaging the dog's fur or cat's skin. Strong rivets can keep pets from harm with this puppy collar. It can also protect your dog from intentional or unintentional attacks when playing with other dogs.
