Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

When buying this device, I thought that I was getting a high-quality solution for digitizing cassettes, but I got some kind of garbage. Nevertheless. You can digitize high-quality cassettes with this thing, but only if you have a digital video switcher with TVS. I pass the signal through Panasonic WJ-AVE5. The picture does not float, there are no spots. But this is an extra cost. Given the current price of this device (about 7k), I would not recommend it for purchase. Get a better tuner on a philips sa7134 chip and use the iuVCR program with ffmpeg and you will be happy.

Pros
  • + Compactness + Low system requirements + Virtually no out of sync The good news is that even if the source of the signal with "torn" sync pulses (an old VHS cassette, rewritten and chewed a hundred times (I'm exaggerating :)), then this thing replaces the lost frame with a blue screen. Although this does not give us much, because his flaws are steeper.
Cons
  • The software is just awful. This thing is only supported by PowerDirector. In Daba, it seems to work somehow, but it gives a disgusting picture. If you digitalize directly from VHS, then color distortion is inevitable. There are green, purple spots on the floor of the screen, even on a good video recorder. Hong Konganent line shift. The image above "floats".
