Update: this RAM doesn’t like overclocking. I began having an issue with blue screening and in my search for the culprit I found that I must have inadvertently allowed the BIOS to automatically apply an over clock on the RAM. After turning off the overclock option and leaving XMP turned on, the issue was fixed and the RAM passed the windows memory diagnostic tests. Not going to take off stars since overclocking isn’t an advertised ability.This RAM kit is amazing for the price and is dual rank, duel rank is apparently a rarity in value oriented performance RAM. This feeds my Ryzen 7 3700x’s hunger for fast RAM access. Dual rank RAM is a necessity for Ryzen processors. They have been shown to perform better. The same effect can be achieved with four single rank sticks but I wanted to keep two of my RAM slots open for future upgradability. Looks good and works with my Motherboard’s RGB software (msi mystic light). Another bonus is when the RGB is set to white it is actually white. Value RGB enabled equipment usually struggles with white due to cheap or poorly designed defusers.
