Great fan replacement/upgrade

Bought a Forest River camper with a front bedroom that only had an air vent over the bed. Goed through the installation instructions (PDF is available on the Airxcel website but Revain does not allow the URL to be posted), removed the trim ring from the existing vent, found the required 14" hole with the expected wiring and dropped the hammer fall when purchasing the Maxxair 7500K. Arrived on time. It took about 90 minutes to carefully remove the existing dicor from the fan roof flange by prying it up in the direction of the hole with your fingertips and then gently scraping the residue off the flange with an old trowel with worn, rounded corners Removed the rest of the Dicor as possible, removed all the screws holding the flange in place, carefully pushed the flange out of the roof skin and scraped off most of the butyl rubber underneath the flange. . Simple Green and allow to dry, then apply Dicor BT-1834-1 1/8" x 3/4" x 30' butyl sealing tape, attach and screw on the flange for the new Maxxair, install the unit in place. and fixed with the supplied screws, then open the cover fully. The cab connected the fan wiring to towbars and installed an inner fairing flange for the new fan, then brought it back onto the roof to use two tubes of Dicor 502-LSW self-leveling sealant to seal the fan base. Roof. The folds in the roof skin were covered by Dicor. The new fan moves a decent amount of air and the remote control is great - makes it easy to open/close the lid and adjust the airflow to the inlet/outlet/ceiling fan without having to climb onto the bed.
