I love these shoes for the water. Very comfortable to walk, used to escalate a waterfall, grip was excellent, didn't slip at all. Some stones may fall to the bottom of the holes, but they're easy to remove if they bother you. I was very happy with these water shoes for a 7 day cruise where we all did excursions with different water activities and these shoes work great in all cases. My children were very happy about it
