Killer budget amp. in automotive electronics

I have 1 wired subwoofer @ 4 ohms and according to the specs it should output around 450 RMS. Only goes into protect mode at half level and gain. I can't imagine it outputting and being able to handle 1800 RMS into 1 ohm. Apart from this 1 main problem, it works fine. Also use the recommended 4 gauge cable. But it sounds very clean and the price is perfect.
