Review on Machine Presets Delicate Starter Compact by Kim Allen

After going through the Food Saver program every 2-3 years I decided to switch brands and/or spend more on a more expensive unit. I read a lot of reviews and came to the conclusion that spending more doesn't always mean better performance or longer lifespan. I had never heard of Potane before I started looking into vacuum sealers and took the plunge to purchase the Potane VS2690 because of the moderate price and 5 year warranty. I have to admit I really like this little machine so far. The 4 vacuum presets work as advertised but probably the feature I like and use the most is the manual vacuum mode as my previous sealers often didn't remove enough air prior to sealing. Now I have full control over when the packaging is sealed. I don't know the lifespan of this device yet, but the 5-year warranty gives me peace of mind.
