I use pink salt and peppercorns and have had several coffee grinders that run on batteries. They would leak when the sensation ended and not grind well. I found these two rechargeable batteries to be a great battery saver, they are larger, don't leak and work well. The basis of the product is glass and at the same time comfortably thick glass. Upper part - silver metal. You press a button to grind your product and it falls from the white part onto your food. You can use them for anything as they aren't labeled for a specific seasoning, but for me it was the salt and pepper I wanted them for. Instructions are included but they really aren't needed, as are two chargers, so you can charge both chargers at the same time rather than individually. They look very modern and go well with most interior items. You will make a great gift.
