This is part of my niece's 3rd birthday present. She loved these gems and even shared some with her older brother and grandparents. Gemstones are significant in size and can be used for a variety of purposes. They were all scratch free and crystal clear on arrival (no cheap silver paint on the bottom). It looks like a tough plastic/acrylic that will probably scratch a bit over time like the other gems they've had.
