Great for my raised 2004 Outback!

I installed them on my 2004 Subaru Outback Wagon with heavy duty springs (1.25 inch) and about 170,000 miles on it. My first observation is that road noise increases significantly at 50-100 Hz. This noise is most noticeable when driving over street crossings, bridge crossings or rough roads in general. This noise is caused by the bushings, which are stiffer than the original, transferring more vibration energy to the body. This can be the deciding factor. for your shopping if you drive your car daily or commute to work frequently. Second, prior to installing these bushings, I had intermittent tremors under acceleration that could be felt in the floor/pedal assembly. After replacing the engine mounts, transmission mounts, front axle drive (OEM) and front wheel bearings, this vibration persisted. It turned out that the original bushings were either too soft or worn, which was causing this problem. in! It looks like the soft/worn OE bushings absorbed some of the braking energy. This is a bit of a concern as the absorbed energy would be transferred directly to the positive toe angles of the front tires resulting in reduced steering stability under braking. After the replacement, the touch of the brakes is noticeable, and the overall braking is confident and controlled. I haven't tried hard braking (generally trying to avoid it). Note that my Subaru is raised and the front control arm angles are likely different (steeper) than yours, potentially transferring additional vibration energy or different loads to the mounts. Your results may differ from mine. Installing these jacks required some effort. You may need to remove the control handle. You need to remove the hub shell assembly and then remove the original hub and hub. Next you'll need some lube and a press to press the new bushing into the body assembly (a bit tricky). Then assemble and align. If you are not mechanically savvy I would ask your mechanic for a quote on the installation prior to purchase. Always level the vehicle after working on the suspension! Overall I am very happy with this product as I expected an increase in road noise.
