First of all, it’s packaged immaculately, and feels like a good dash camera! This is the 4th dash camera that I’ve owned and it seems to be the best one so far.The picture quality is crystal clear, although night time does seem to get a bit distorted when really zooming in on a license plate or whatever else. You’ll likely be able to tell if you’re in an accident and someone drives off.The dash cam itself is a little bulky though, slightly larger than one I got about 2 years ago, although that one has lower resolution and fewer features which makes sense. Still if you want something small this may be one to skip over. There’s 2 improvements that I would make if I was designing this camera. One- make the USB cable longer to route. It comes with a car charger cable that is suitable to route through your headliner, around the A pillar and down into your power source, but the cable that is a usb cable is quite a lot shorter, maybe only 2-3 feet or so which makes it impossible to route like that - leaving you with the option of only taking up your single car charger (cigarette lighter) or having a wire dangle from camera to usb which is what I’m currently doing. The other issue is the connection to the camera itself. The usb-c is connected to the camera mount which then transfers power to the camera itself. That’s fine and all, but this wire connects directly to the part that rotates and moves the suction cup suction-er, meaning that you’ll have to basically grab onto the wire as you twist it on or off to mount or take down. I’d rather it simply connect to the camera or to a portion of the charger that doesn’t move about. Finally - the packaging. There’s too much of it and while I appreciate it being neat and clean, the amount of extra stuff (stickers you’re supposed to put on your car, 2 manuals, plastic baggies and ties for everything, 2 different power wires) makes this too much. I threw away 9 little pieces of plastic and baggies and still have the main box, 3 little separator boxes, 2 manuals and 2 stickers alongside a tool that’s supposed to help you get the suction cup off and the extra cable.I know that’s money spent that probably reflects onto the main price. Offering something smaller and maybe providing a quick setup guide and a QR code for the full setup may be a better idea. USBs are in every car these days and if not people use cigarette lighter to USB adapters which usually provide 2-4 usb slots for phone charging, dash cams, and other accessories. Just do 1 long USB cable instead.Overall it’s a great little dash cam.
