Review on Melitta Espresso Cappuccino Machine MEX 1B by Dwayne Quarles

First, this is an old espresso machine. I bought this to replace the one I got over 20 years ago. Just so you know, the original hasn't lasted 2 decades of daily use, but I love the simplicity and I love being able to make 4 cups of espresso for 1 americano every morning for the next 4 days. .Pro: Easy and convenient to use thanks to the cup sizes on the carafe and espresso bowl. You can brew 4 cups at a time and get extra steam for frothing milk by filling the carafe to the metal band. You can start the machine, exit and come back later to drink your espresso. No pods required; I just used my favorite espresso ground coffee. Small! Takes up very little counter space. Cons: A steamer is enough for me, but from the reviews I've read, espresso connoisseurs might get frustrated with having to froth milk by raising and lowering the milk container. It is difficult to pack the espresso properly to get a good crema in the carafe. Much of this may be due to my inexperience as I drink Americano and Breve.
