Review on Tetra Water Maintenance Items: Simplifying Aquarium Water Changes by Nathan Barraclough

I have a couple of these aquarium cleaners because I have several aquariums of different depths. This was suggested for my review and I have one that is leaking badly in the squeeze bulb that I was looking to replace. I didn't pay attention to the hose length in the description, but this works best for a fairly short tank. If your water column is more than 30 cm, your hands will be under water when using this device. The hose is also thin. It's clearly intended for a smaller tank - maybe 10-20 gallons. However, I don't like this product. Its main advantage is that it works very well and does not leak. The squish ball easily pushes a lot of water in the right direction, creating a vacuum and filling the rest of the tube. The lamp works better than most of my other cleaners. The way they packaged it also seems to have prevented the pipes from making any sharp bends. I have one with a crease in the pipe that slows the water down. This one has no such defect. If you have a small tank, this works great. If you have a large tank, be sure to buy a slightly larger one.
