I recently bought a spot with wide horizontal blinds in my bedroom (east facing) window. They look good and at first everything seemed fine. However, as spring brought longer days and more sunshine, I realized that the (even closed) blinds were useless in keeping it dark enough to sleep early in the morning. I checked out the curtains—expensive and would be a pain to raise and lower under the blinds. I looked at the curtains in stores and it seemed like a regular rod would not fit on a rather wide bracket of the blinds. Then I found this one. The secret is that they use the blind holder already installed to hold the blackout curtains as well. The blinds are heavy so the mount is secure, and the easily adjustable NOno mounts become strong after tightening a screw. Then simply put the cornice (with curtains) in the brackets and you're done. screwdriver to install them properly. Watch the video, anyone who can climb a kitchen stool can do it.
