Review on ๐Ÿšš Gabriel 43171 Rear Loading Carrier by Jonathan Abreu

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worth a few bucks more compared to cheaper OEM replacement

Definitely improved the stability of my 1996 Ford Explorer Sport. It used to roll a lot when exiting the parking lot or driving slowly on the road, now nothing! Even raised the rear by about 2 inches. Powerful springs are good, but you'll need two jacks or a large rod to use these puppies as leverage (they don't compress with any sort of belt. The only thing that bothers me is after a day of hard riding I've noticed that the lower rubber washers where the spring sits on the rimmed platform are torn off on either side (the rubber washer itself is not broken, they now sit around the lower bolt links as they slid down when popped) the springs are still firmly on their platform) so not a big deal, but not really! I hope the spring platforms hold up as is - I will only show them and if anything happens I will update my review but I am pretty sure they will be fine - see photo of my rubber description. Washing machine is not clear.
