Great fuel pump! - Fuel system

I've been torturing myself for a few days whether I should buy this fuel pump. My dilemma was that there were three pump categories for my 2000 Silverado. First there was a pump with less than fifty, then there was a pump with about two hundred, then there was this pump with exactly about a hundred. in the end decided to just choose the middle pump. I can't say how this pump compares to the other two pumps mentioned as I haven't used them but I can say this pump does a great job and was easy to install. . Once that pump was installed, he turned the key and waited for the pump to stop, then pushed the key and the truck started again. Two tips: First, prepare some lube to put on the side. Pump surface to facilitate insertion into the tank. I installed it about halfway through before realizing it wouldn't work. I removed the pump with little difficulty and then applied a thin coat of petroleum jelly which worked great and allowed the pump to slide in easily. Second, be very careful when disconnecting fuel lines. The lines are pressurized and if you are in a very dangerous position under the bed of a truck and try to disconnect the lines, I have found the hard way that when the line is disconnected the pressure is released instantly. In my case, the red eyes followed for about 10 minutes. Great pump, easy install and comes with everything you need to get the job done. Oh yes, one last piece of advice; Look for ways to replace the pump. I chose the bed tilt method and am very pleased with the simplicity of this method. Leaving the tank wasn't for me. My wife and I were able to easily tilt my bed and set up blocks for anchoring.
