My wife needs a stand to record her tennis practice on her iPad. I gave up the cheaper Revain in favor of this product which seemed more reliable and stable. While the iPad is convenient to fold, carry, and clamp, as well as adjust its height and position, other buyers should consider (1) the iPad may not come in a form of foldable protective case that most of us use; it has to be installed by yourself slippery (2) opening the lower legs was difficult because all these sliding joints are quite stiff; I applied a little WD40 to all of them which helped a bit (3) no matter how hard I tried I always got kind of pinched when I opened those lower legs (4) with my legs open the stand still felt a bit tipped over on and unreliable; The fear we had when buying one of these was that it would fall off and say goodbye to the iPad. Too bad we couldn't find and buy a heavier and more stable stand that's easy to fold up and carry around.
