We use a lot of freshly ground salt and pepper and after our last electrical device gave up the ghost we went back to hand sanding, I mentioned we use a lot, our hands are like papaya hands. They work really well and give an even grind, they work when inverted and glow a blue light around the ring which can sometimes add an interesting passing touch to the food lol. They are easy to fill and work all the time. The only thing we didn't like was the impossibility of changing the light or turning it off entirely, being rechargeable they are a bit gluttonous.
