There are a few tan spots too, but overall it protects your hands like a potholder protects your hand when you're pulling something.

I give 5 stars even if I don't use it as a welding glove. I have a feeling this will easily prevent sparks and slag from burning hands. I move objects with a melt - in my case it's usually enough, but it tends to get hot enough to burn - I have to take my gloves off, but I'm dealing with temperatures of 1500 degrees+. I managed to melt one of the fingers - it appears to be some type of nylon used to connect the top of the glove to the bottom. There are also a few burn marks but overall it protects your hands like an oven mitt protects your hand when pulling something out of a 500 degree oven - you can't walk around, walk around the yard or carry a frying pan and drive - I hope what does it make sense So welding? Probably okay, smelting metal? Okay, as long as you're moving really fast.

Pros
  • Hand and hand protection
Cons
  • Damaged
