I bought this knitting gadget because it seemed to me an easy way to control the ball of yarn in the car, on the plane or while knitting in a café. For the most part, it doses what it's supposed to do: keep your yarn close and don't get tangled. In doing so, I encountered two problems. First, the yarn is sometimes wrapped around the top of the stem where it enters the ball of yarn; a quick twist in the opposite direction is enough to straighten it out again. Second, a wire ring worn on the hand can irritate the skin. I'll try again as the weather is getting colder and I'm wearing long sleeves.
