I don't quite understand the other reviews. Maybe there's a fake comment war between leather sellers or something, but the test that counts is that it's real leather. Yes, it's very smooth and even on one side, but it doesn't melt or burn like plastic-based faux leather (I don't know of any other types of faux leather that don't ignite), and it absorbs water on the rough side. try it yourself I promise you won't get hurt. I use it for belts and other things with straps and it works well. I returned for the fourth purchase.
