Review on πŸ’¨ Soldering Desoldering Extractor: The Ultimate Absorber for Efficient Prevention by Brian Garrett

Good price for

Great if you don't solder often. If you've been soldering all day, I'm afraid a fan will make you dizzy by the end of the day. This works very well as long as you solder within 4" of the fan. Once it's outside of that range, it's of no use. I do a moderate amount of soldering. I actually bought 2 of these. I place one directly in front of where I soldered and the other right next to the soldering iron stand to catch any remaining smoke that comes out after I've re-soldered the tip before putting the pen back into the stand. Like I said, it's good for the price. It's not a $500 filtration system, but it's better than nothing. I would wear a charcoal mask and ensure good ventilation if you solder a lot with these fans as the only filtering.

Pros
  • extractors with low noise and odor: The soldering fan adopts double-barrel design, low noise and odorless during use, making you feel immersed in the work.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
