Literally all the smoke is sucked in and nothing comes out the exhaust side

It's amazing how well this thing works. After using it for a while, I had to show it to my son-in-law. I brought it back to my workspace and said check it out, the smoke just goes away. The smoke is literally completely sucked in and nothing comes out of the exhaust. Works incredibly well. Buy, you will not be disappointed. I also bought bulk activated carbon filter media so I could cut my own filters. For ten dollars you can make about 40 filters.

Excellent!: Soldering & Soldering Equipment

This thing sucks up solder fumes from 12 inches away! Although it was only for testing. Best results are anywhere from 6 inches and closer. The filter is about 1/4 inch thick (I didn't measure) and it seems to work fine. Not sure if the 1.8" version has a thinner filter or not. I bought the 2" version because of the CFM rating and 32W. Good price for

Great if you don't solder often. If you've been soldering all day, I'm afraid a fan will make you dizzy by the end of the day. This works very well as long as you solder within 4" of the fan. Once it's outside of that range, it's of no use. I do a moderate amount of soldering. I actually bought 2 of these. I place one directly in front of where I soldered and the other right next to the soldering iron stand to catch any remaining smoke that comes out after I've re-soldered the tip before…
