Let me start by saying that I LOVE Joseph Joseph Kitchenware. Every detail is well thought out and durable. I have about 1/2 dozen and the same number are on my wish list. This mandolin might be my favorite. It's easy to use and incredibly sharp. I grab him every time he can replace a knife. I have a fairly recent injury to the index and middle fingers of my left hand which have proved critical when cutting food. I bought all sorts of little things that I thought might help keep my fingers from getting cut. None of them worked in my situation. I started looking at the mandolins but they were all too big to carry and use. They were also overworked - too much detail.
