Review on Smiths Adjustable Manual Knife Sharpener by Michael Skerving

I have both this and the axe/machete version. These are excellent sharpeners that allow you to sharpen blades very quickly. They take quite a bit of material and are quite different from most other stone sharpeners I've used in the past, so I'm trying to be conservative with my pressure when you see the shavings falling as you pull the knife through. But they absolutely work and work very well. If you have a knife that you use frequently, this is a great way to keep it sharp and in constant use. Now that I have one I use my big bushcraft knife a lot more as I can sharpen it a lot quicker and easier. I wouldn't use this sharpener on precision tools just because I prefer more control and am trying to save on materials on these types of knives. But in the end, now that I have it, I work more and much faster.
