I'm not a professional welder, I only have about 8 hours of torch welding in house, yard. Photos are 11gauge steel. There was a device for 145A, 16-17V. The machine looks well assembled! All metal feed roller mechanism, decent connectors, MIG torch feels solid, even the side cover is thick enough to feel solid unlike some other inexpensive machines. was relatively easy, I used a Miller welding chart to get initial values for amps and volts depending on the metal I was welding. Changed settings there. See pics of some welds after about 1/2 hour of fiddling. Pros: - Well built - Cost - Easy polarity reversal - Compact - Decent welds, especially given the lack of experience. Cons (or things that could be improved): - Settings table on the inside cover. This has already been mentioned by other reviewers - The manual needs improvement, it covers a wide range of machines from different series but does not give enough detail - Adjusting the wire feed. I understand that the machine will automatically adjust the wire feed speed depending on the amperage, but manual control would be nice. "This machine will style your chest hair", I suppose it will do the opposite :)
