List of stones and minerals included in this set.

For the price I think the kit works well. The kit includes a magnet, a magnifying glass, a streak plate and several information sheets. I have read some of the previous reviews and yes the loupe is small and the box is quite flimsy but this is an introductory course and it is the same loupe, magnet and strip plate that I bought at my university when I was studying geology . Each of the samples is relatively small, but more than enough to understand the basic concepts of identifying different types of rocks and minerals. I find this a helpful and educational tool to refresh my memory of any breed specimen. I wasn't sure what was included when I bought it so I've listed all of the items below. There are some examples I'd rather not have and others I'd like to see in the introductory set, but again it works well for the price. If you want larger samples or a stronger box, spend more and look for a more expensive item.
