I have a cheap handheld scanner that has always been good, it has never found codes in any of my cars. Except this time my handheld scanner could not find ANY code even though the check engine light came on. I recently had the fuel pump replaced on my Escalade 07 and as soon as I drove the truck for 20 minutes the check engine light came on. My hand scanner didn't find any codes and couldn't delete the MIL either. Instead I decided to try the Foseal WIFI Scanner and was VERY happy with it! P0332 (bank 2 knock sensor voltage too low) and P1258 (engine coolant over temperature) found. I managed to reset both with the app but there must have been wrong codes as the car wasn't hot at all, only ran a few minutes and I doubt there's actually a knock sensor issue, never seen before occured. I'm just glad to clear the MIL and get my truck back! I found Car Scanner the best FREE app. for use with this device. I tried the TorqueLite app and it was ok but not as good as Car Scanner. Both apps found my codes but Car Scanner offers much more features and data for the free versions. I haven't tried paid versions, too cheap for that! LOL That was the best $20 I've ever spent on a car tool!
