Review on SportRack Folding Kayak Carrier SR5513 by Derek Helvie

I have had these racks for several months now and have used them to rig my 70lb 11ft sit top fishing kayak during the recent 1000 mile trip to transport. They are very easy to install (it takes about 10 minutes the first time and 5 minutes after because you can't completely disassemble them after the first use). Overall I couldn't be happier - especially for the price. Well, having said that, I know the hardware isn't stainless steel, but the frames are just low-grade powder-coated steel. So eventually they will rust I guess. But honestly, if you just don't like paying extra for things, I can't see why you'd want to spend triple to get a branded shelf. Unless you kayak constantly, they should last well for years.
