This is actually a DMC brand, bright white and you will receive 12 small skeins with your order (some early reviews have suggested this is not the case but it looks like as if the seller or Revain fixed this! ). As a newbie to floss embroidery, I wasn't aware that these DMC threads come in different sizes and thought it was a thicker cotton thread (which costs about $1.76 on regular craft necklaces), but it's actually a smaller thread. As I understood after arrival, the large thread is twisted and thicker where it has 6 strands (I think it's less thick), not twisted and divisible. Elsewhere, they're about $0.52 each, so the cost here is a bit high even for a 12-pack. However, it does exactly what it says and comes in handy when you don't feel like driving to the store or when the premium shipping is worth it. Hope that helps!
