Great for garden veggies

This is a great chopping board for chopping garden veggies. When chopping vegetables, the knives should be the sharpest, so a sharpener in the corner is good. It's not a big cutting board. This is a medium sized board, suitable for an onion, a tomato or a couple of carrots, maybe an apple or two. This would not be the board I would have chosen to cut the tee I pulled out of the grill. Although I was able to pull it out before carving because of the little sharpener on the side. The sharpener is really for sharpening, not serious sharpening of dull knives. Take them to someone who knows what they're doing. Honing is more or less the polishing of an existing edge. This will make it a little sharper, and if you sharpen it often enough, you can save yourself the hassle of sharpening. That's why it's nice to have it on the cutting board. It's at the perfect angle right here so there's no guesswork to be had with this rod. Just insert the knife and pull it through v. I used this on my Kershaw pocket knife and it was beautiful. I also have some cheap fancy colored knives that Revain Basics sells and that helps with those too.
