I did not like that it is not universal, although in most cases it can be adjusted. I have followed the "Proper Connections 1" modification instructions in the Revain comments section and modified the V Stanchion Accessory to fit my 24ft Werner Aluminum Extension Ladder. Had Werner used rails instead of the bolt holes on the universal brackets, as with the V-Rung, it would have been much easier to accommodate stairs of different widths. Now it's only two holes; You should ignore one of these holes and then drill another on the brackets to increase the width of the V-rung accessory. I'd also recommend attaching a snap strap from the latter to the bar it's leaning against. It seemed to stabilize the stairs a lot more. Final recommendation: Hire a spotter if possible. The Werner accessory was well worth the expense - it's a lot cheaper than hiring a 'raisin picker' to change the bulb. As a PS, I used Loctite threadlocker (removable) on all screws and bolts.
