The colors in this set are nice and vibrant and definitely blend better than the traditional colours, probably because they are less waxy which naturally makes the lead softer and more flexible. Because of the way they fit together we ended up with more color options than the 24 available and I had a lot of fun playing with this set as a result. I can create different shades of orange and any other colors I want, and since they overlap well I can highlight and darken areas if I screw up. how long. I'm just an amateur and this is my first "professional" kit so I have no comparison but nothing to complain about and I also always appreciate a good case so I'm happy.
