Review on Topeak TT2524 Ratchet Rocket Lite by Zach Sornsin

Topeak Ratchet Rocket Lite DX is a great bike multi tool

The Topeak Ratchet Rocket Lite DX is a great bike multi tool I've carried it on my main bike ever since I bought it. On a long solo trip to remote areas or on tour I would pack a few other basic tools, but that alone is enough for most of my trips. The Carradice Barley saddlebag for my commuter bike fits in the side pocket (see photo) along with a spare inner tube. What I like about this product is that it is very easy to remove any parts that you don't need from it. , and swap it out for something you could use. I added a flat head screwdriver for about $2 at the hardware store. I don't need the smallest Allen key on my bike so I took it out. If you're counting grams, you can also ditch the polyester cover and carry it in a zip pocket. In this configuration, mine weighs 111 grams; 155 in stock.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something
