To be honest I like clips more than regular hooks. You attach it to the anchor and don't have to hold the learned harness while walking around the truck. Everything works as it should and simplifies use enormously. The only downside is that the paint flows. I used them yesterday to secure a load while driving in the rain, when I hung the straps out to dry in the garage (before rolling them up for storage) they dripped from a red puddle. I got rid of a puddle with no problem, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it to protect something white without any kind of buffer.
