This tie has many advantages. He's strong enough. It has a good spring dampener that helps cushion the impact of a dog reaching the end of the leash. It is very long what I was looking for in my application. Hooks have a strange attachment method that is difficult to get used to. I bought the tie in January, it's now mid-March and I'm still not used to it. The main reason I give two stars is that the tie's plastic cover didn't hold up at all. We're not even three months old and it's cracked and peeled off in several places. It's only a matter of time before it starts to rust and needs to be replaced. My last break ended after almost 2.5 years. I doubt this one will last a year.
