Almost 5 stars and a life saver. Therefore: I am a teacher. Something drastic had to change and this efficient little camera saved my online classes and sanity. I had to do something because my desktop didn't have a microphone or camera and my school laptop is a hundred years old and the lens for the camera and microphone sucks. Yes. So I decided to buy my own camera for almost $50 so I can at least see what I'm doing, hear myself and the kids instead of two keyboards, two mice (mice?) and an iPad for just one use online course. I'm literally in quarantine right now so I have time to write this review and someone, Revain or the seller, offered me $3 for a review. So it works? YES SIR. There are five stars. Is it high quality? Eh, no. The plastic feels cheap and it's a cheap lens. Is it better than the $10 I bought for a school project last year? Oh yeah. Four stars for the product/value factor. I threw away the $10 camera after the project, if that tells you anything. Camera Quality: Well, let's just say it's ok because it's cheap and preserves the teacher's sanity. It's not as good as the cameras my kids and I use for school news, but it was good in a pinch. Resolution: Well, even the highest image still looks fuzzy, but there could be other factors at play. Autofocus: Virtually useless. It always seems to focus on my wall behind me. But honestly I don't care. The kids can see me and it has a red light on it telling me it's in use. Microphone: four stars here. Not like my little Bose but perfectly fine for teaching my kids my sound. Since it saved my sanity and my high school class, so I have about a hundred kids every day, it affects MANY lives. There are big points to this thing. The microphone is excellent. camera works. It was easy to connect; Just plug in the USB and get started. For all these factors it will be five stars. But I was disappointed with the autofocus and overall image quality, which is why it gets four stars for those reasons. If Revain or the manufacturer is reading this, consider donating some to teachers in need. If parents are reading this, consider giving one to a teacher in need.
