Review on Dixon Ticonderoga Company Pencil Envirostik by Amanda Castillo

For decades I have loved Dixon Ticonderoga #2 pencils for their high quality dark lead and erasers and the feel of a pencil in the hand. I usually buy them at a stationery store, but this time I ordered two boxes online. They are completely different than what I'm used to - not the same lead, eraser or pencil surface. The shape of the pencil is no longer round either. They now have an eco-friendly wooden finish that I've never seen before, and while it's a commendable concept, the quality of the pencil (including the lead and eraser) has greatly degraded. I gave them away.
