Two issues that make this ruler unusable: - It happens to be coated with a weird substance (glue?) that can't be removed, so it's not clear and hard to see - Yes, multiple thin tears on the edges (although there are no signs of wear, so the thing I received is definitely new). This makes reading scales less than convenient.
