I did a lot of research on printers before purchasing this printer so my expectations were lowered accordingly. Setup was quick and easy using my home wireless network and connecting through a Netgear router with Apple, Lenovo and Dell laptops. PDF scanning image quality is good, black and color print quality is good, Wi-Fi reception is stable with no dropouts, and AirPrint works great with iPhone 5, 6, and 7 mobile phones. So, the first experience was a good four days; I hope it's true in a year. This ink-spitting, disposable device (an obvious sarcasm for all printer manufacturers) has a gaudy look - cheap looking, brittle plastic that's actually a throwback from my trusty old HP 6500 that died after 5 years of reliable service. To be honest, all of the modern printers I've seen at Best Buy also looked gaudy. One star off for the sweat and stains workers didn't wipe off when packing this printer in a hot, stuffy factory in the Philippines. These marks are etched into the plastic, leaving a printer with a permanently soiled appearance - a minor issue in the bigger picture, I suppose, but hey, shouldn't a new printer look like new? Note to Epson: I'd be happy to pay twice as much for a nice box that works reliably for 5 years. UPDATE: 15 months after purchase, this printer/scanner/copier is working perfectly. No complaints, upgraded from 4 to 5 stars! UPDATE: 3 years have passed since purchase. What a cool car. So reliable. The biggest problem was a very rare paper jam. 6 stars!
