Review on Nickel Plated SRAM Power Chain II PC 1 by Mark Dahmer

This is the second PC-1 chain I'm using in my commuter car, the first lasted about 2 years at 30% daily use on mine 4 miles drive in one end. ride in any weather. I'm guessing 2000 miles and I probably would have replaced it a few hundred miles ago if I had checked the chainring. The bike lives inside but is parked outside at work. The latch is easy to install, much easier than the U-pin style that you have to slide over the pins. I have some trouble finding the right link to break in a messy chain, and the flexibility required means you have to pull the chain out of the cogs (another type of SRAM link I can disable without breaking the chain separate). If I could change one thing about this chain, I would use a lighter to remove the grease for shipping. I disassemble and oil the chain before installing it. While not particularly difficult, I wish this task was easier.
