Keeps things dry but a little touchy

I bought 3 different 40 liter dry bags to prepare for a week long Wilderness Canoe Trip (BWCA). One of them was this Piscifun bag. This was the only clear bag of the three that I bought and once we started packing our gear we quickly realized that the clear bag was a huge advantage when it came to getting your stuff in the bag quickly find since you could see where they were. . outside and could usually take it out without emptying the whole bag. For this reason I immediately bought two more 40 liter bags of Piscifun. I liked that they were transparent and had backpack straps. A nice bonus were the waterproof straps for the phones that came with the kit. The idea was that they would keep things dry while in the canoe and then we could easily put them on our backs for carrying. I have used two Piscifun bags as clothing and personal bags for my two girls and used the other as a sleeping bag. All in all, they worked pretty well. Everything was dry throughout the journey. The phone holders are really great. They kept the phones completely dry and I was able to control everything except Touch ID on my phone through the case. We even took most of our photos right through the bag. Images may not be as clear as without, but distortion was minimal. The attached image was taken through a Piscifun phone case. The two light green bags and one light blue bag in the bottom left of the picture are Piscifun bags. The blue bag in the center is from a different brand. I was disappointed that 40 liters is actually a bit short for a regular low temperature sleeping bag, but I was able to fit one in it, although it was a process that involved folding the back in quarters lengthwise and then carefully placing it in the bag while lowering it on the sides to stuff it tight to the bottom so everything fits. My daughters couldn't do it themselves. I also left a small tear near the top when I first pulled on the side to slide my sleeping bag in. Luckily the gap was up and I was able to roll over the gap while sealing so it was still dry. After that I was more careful with it. Two other branded 40 liter bags I bought that were opaque I have also used for sleeping bags and they were a little thicker and I could be a little stronger with padding than this bag. So for sleeping bags I would probably go for a slightly thicker material and forgo the transparent pocket as you don't need transparency if you only have one item in the pocket. This worked much better with girls' clothes as the bag wasn't as full and you just had to put stuff in the bag instead of stuffing it. It worked pretty well as a girls dress bag. Keep everything dry and finding things inside was relatively easy to see through the pockets. The main reason I only gave it 4 stars is that the backpack straps weren't particularly strong. At the beginning of the trip I took a bag out of the canoe and one of the straps fell off. I don't know how it happened. I didn't realize he was clinging to anything. He just sat in the canoe and fell. Later I just tossed one of the other Piscifun bags into the canoe and the hard plastic buckle for the backpack straps hit the side of the canoe and shattered into multiple pieces. It was a short soft throw of about 3 feet with about 15 pounds of soft clothing in the bag. I couldn't believe it. The bag wasn't heavy so we could still use the leftover straps in duffel mode, and it was still fairly easy to carry around. I just didn't expect it to be so tender. So overall, pockets did a good job of keeping things dry. Everything was dry in all three pockets. Cell phone straps have proven to be very useful. The only issue was that the pockets weren't as strong as I had hoped - primarily the straps. I would probably still buy them for light items like clothes or towels. I wouldn't buy these for full size sleeping bags and if you have to use them in backpack mode you have to be very careful with the straps.
