It is always difficult to replace something that is not identical to the original plug-in unit. With about 20 wires to move and a different mounting screw arrangement, this might seem like a DIY contest at first glance. However, the cable connectors are well marked and the connectors fit into the cable holders. When in doubt, label each wire with its old letter code and the subgroup it came from (and the correct wire color code if your wire color doesn't match the charts). In some places where I had two wires going to the same connector, I found it best to twist the wires together and leave one at least 1/4 inch longer than the other to allow for one wire to fit the bracket. Pull a little on each wire to make sure it's caught by the retainers. In my setup, the old faulty controller used oven power, so recommending a dedicated 24V transformer put my project on hold until I could buy one worked as advertised with much prompt help from their support team. They answered all my questions and performed a high confidence installation project that worked great from the moment I was done. I also love the operational feedback LED display.
