Very easy to install. The manufacturer designed it to be installed inside, and the cables must be permanently routed in the trunk. I do not like it. However, the problem is that the 4-pin connector does not fit into the recess on the car's chassis. Honda solved this problem by using a smaller plug inside the car. For a permanent outside mount I bought a 4P extension, cut it off, fed it through the cut in the car's chassis and plugged it back in. Then I hid all the wires behind the plastic panels.
