Just got these towels and they are both soft and absorbent. Definitely following the washing instructions and do not use fabric softener because that can lessen absorbancy of all towels in general. These are plenty soft as-is. I use wool balls in my dryer to expediate drying time. I would also say that you should absolutely wash there once before use to reduce lint. I did this and was nervous when my lint trap was full. During the first use i had no issues with lint sticking to me. The size of the washcloth and hand towels are also slightly larger than expected which is welcome! The towel size is on the larger size too. I got these in the Dusk color and they are true to screen and reminiscent of a spa. I will absolutely buy more of these and I'm considering them as a go-to house warming gift.
